Safeguarding & Assurance
Safeguarding and student welfare are central to every programme delivered by Hong Educational Tours. All trips are planned and operated in line with UK safeguarding expectations and in close partnership with each participating school.
Hong Educational Tours is led by two Directors who hold direct responsibility for safeguarding, risk assessment and programme oversight. For each programme, a designated safeguarding lead is identified, working alongside the school’s own Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure clear communication, shared responsibility and appropriate escalation procedures.
We work only with trusted overseas partners and schools, and safeguarding expectations are clearly communicated in advance of travel. Where local practice differs from UK standards, UK safeguarding principles are applied wherever reasonably practicable.
Risk assessments, supervision ratios and emergency procedures are agreed with schools in advance, and students remain under the supervision of school staff at all times. Hong Educational Tours supports schools by providing programme-level safeguarding information, risk assessments and assurance documentation to assist with trip approval and governance requirements.
This structured, collaborative approach gives schools confidence and provides parents with reassurance that student safety, wellbeing and appropriate care remain the priority throughout every programme.
