Day 2 – Host School Exchange: STEM Ambition & Education

  • Full day at partner school

  • Joint activities with Chinese students:

    Science lessons or STEM club

    Team challenge: design a Mars rover (paper/DT prototype task)

  • Campus tour and informal discussion

  • Evening walk and meal around Beijing

Day 3 – Space, Engineering & Big Ideas

  • Visit to a major science / space-themed museum

  • Focus on:

    Space technology and engineering challenges

    Forces, motion and design constraints

  • Evening relaxing in hotel

Day 4 – Environment, Data & Real-World Science

  • Workshop: air quality, water or environmental monitoring (age-appropriate)

  • Simple data collection and interpretation task

  • Evening visit to a lively pedestrian street

    Food, lights and purchasing of souvenirs

 

Day 5 – Host School Project Day: Future Tech Solutions

  • Second day at partner school

  • Joint project:

    Solve a future-city or climate challenge with a prototype idea

  • Short student presentations

  • Evening in hotel

Day 6 – Engineering Heritage & Modern Design

  • Site-based learning: engineering in the built environment (bridges, planning, large-scale systems)

  • Discussion: how governments invest in science and infrastructure

  • Evening cultural performance

    Acrobatics / music / theatre + group meal

Day 7 – STEM Reflection & Celebration

  • Final reflection: China and the future of technology

  • STEM quiz / showcase and certificates

  • Farewell group dinner

Day 8 – Departure
