  • Discussion: How did Shanghai become global?

  • Evening walk along The Bund

    Skyline study: finance, branding and global identity

Day 4 – Smart Cities & Economic Growth

Day 5 – Host School Project Day: Business Challenge

    Create a start-up idea for Chinese or UK markets

    Consider branding, pricing and target audience

  • Short “Dragon’s Den” style student pitches

  • Evening with host families

Day 6 – Enterprise, Innovation & Consumer Culture

  • Visit to modern commercial district

  • Focus on:

    Retail strategy

    Market positioning

  • Consumer behaviour field task:

    Compare Chinese vs UK retail styles

  • Evening river cruise or night district visit

Day 7 – Reflection, Global Markets & Celebration
